Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the W2Day Hockey Overview mobile application and its companion website at schedule2011.click, both provided by W2Day Hockey Overview developed by PadelStar.es ("we," "our," or "us"). It explains exactly what information is handled when you use the app or visit the website, and what control you have over it.
You Have Control Over Your Data
Before describing what the app collects, here is what you can do at any time:
- Clear app data in your device settings to remove the anonymous identifier, your saved favorites, cached game data, and any cookies set by the built-in browser.
- Turn off notifications for the app in your device's notification settings. On Android 13 and later, the app asks for your permission before it can show notifications, and you can deny or revoke this permission at any time.
- Uninstall the app, which removes everything stored on the device by the app.
- Contact us at the email address at the bottom of this page to ask about the data we hold or to request deletion.
We Collect Only What the App Needs to Work
The app does not ask for your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal identifiers as a condition of use. It does not display advertising, and it does not use advertising attribution, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking services. The only information the app itself handles is listed below.
Automatically Collected Information
When you first open the app, it generates an anonymous identifier — a random string that is unique to your installation and has no connection to your name, email, or any other personal information. It is stored locally on your device and is used to distinguish one installation from another for technical purposes. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app removes this identifier.
The app also reads your device's language and region setting so that content can be displayed in the appropriate language.
Data Stored on Your Device
The app stores information on your device to make it usable offline and to remember your choices. This data stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. It includes:
- Your saved favorite teams and games
- Your preferences (default date view, notification toggles)
- Cached NHL data (schedules, standings, rosters, player statistics, game details) so the app works when the network is slow or unavailable
- Your record of whether you have accepted this Privacy Policy
Local Notifications for Favorites
If you enable final-score alerts in the app, the app schedules notifications on your device to remind you when a followed game ends. These notifications are generated locally on your device; no notification token is sent to a push notification service, and no notification content is transmitted to us or to any third party. Turning the toggle off or revoking the notification permission in system settings stops them immediately.
Built-in Browser
The app includes a built-in browser used to display this Privacy Policy and the Contact page directly inside the app. The built-in browser does not collect any data beyond what is described in the sections above. Pages loaded in the built-in browser may set cookies (including third-party cookies) and use local storage the same way any standard web browser does — this is standard browser behavior, not data collected by the app. Clearing the app's data removes any cookies and local storage saved by the built-in browser.
Some network requests made by the built-in browser may use unencrypted HTTP. Encrypted HTTPS is always preferred and used where available.
NHL Data From the Official NHL Stats API
Live scores, standings, schedules, and player statistics are fetched from the official NHL Stats API (https://api-web.nhle.com/v1). The only information sent to that API is the technical request itself (such as the team or game you are viewing). The app does not forward your anonymous identifier, your favorites, or any device information to the NHL API. The NHL API operates under its own terms and privacy practices.
Support and Bug Reports
The app's Contact page allows you to send us a message or report a bug. When you submit a support request, you may provide:
- Your name
- Your email address
- A description of your question or the issue you encountered
- An optional file attachment — you can take a photo or video using your device's camera, or choose an existing file (such as a screenshot, image, PDF, text file, or log file) through your device's file picker
This information is submitted only when you choose to send a support request. We use it solely to respond to your inquiry and resolve the reported issue. The app itself does not access your camera directly — photo and video capture is handled entirely by your device's built-in camera app, and no camera permission is requested by this app.
We Use This Information for a Short List of Purposes
- To deliver the app's core functionality: live NHL scores, standings, team and player statistics, favorites, and game insights
- To show content in your device's language
- To remember your settings and saved favorites between sessions
- To deliver local final-score alerts for the games you have chosen to follow
- To respond to questions and bug reports that you send us through the Contact page
We Do Not Sell or Share Your Data With Advertisers
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share data with advertising networks, analytics providers, or data brokers. The app has no embedded advertising SDKs and no attribution SDKs.
The only third party the app exchanges data with is the official NHL Stats API, and the only information sent is the request required to retrieve the hockey data you are viewing.
External Links Open in the Built-in Browser
The app may link to external resources (such as the NHL's public website). When you follow one of those links, the destination site operates under its own privacy practices. We do not control and are not responsible for the content or policies of those sites.
Your Data Is Retained Only as Long as It Serves You
All app-collected data lives on your device. The anonymous identifier, your favorites, your preferences, and cached NHL data remain until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Cookies and local storage written by the built-in browser follow standard browser expiration rules and are removed when the app's data is cleared.
Messages and optional attachments you submit through the Contact page are retained only for as long as needed to respond to your request and address the issue, after which they are deleted.
Your Data Is Protected in Transit
Network requests made by the app use encrypted HTTPS wherever the destination server supports it. No sensitive personal data is transmitted by the app during normal use, because the app does not collect any. While no method of electronic transmission or storage is perfectly secure, we take reasonable steps to protect the limited data that is handled.
This App Is Not Directed at Children Under 13
The app is intended for a general hockey-fan audience. It is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us through the Contact page, please contact us and we will delete it.
We Will Tell You About Material Changes
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, ask you to review and accept the updated policy inside the app before continuing.
